FAQ

Where is Penny Broadhurst from?
Penny was born in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, in the UK. She grew up in a small hamlet in Nidderdale in the Yorkshire Dales and currently lives in Leeds, West Yorkshire, though she would like to move back to her home county.

Is Penny Broadhurst her real name?
The full name on her birth certificate is something like that, yes. She uses her married name in private life. It makes her feel like she has a special secret identity, like some kind of superhero.

How tall is Penny?
About five feet and seven and a half inches tall (without high heels). Her feet are size 8 in UK sizing and 41 or 42 in European sizing, for the curious (or those able to supply free footwear).

Is Penny married?
Yes, she got married to her husband in September 2005.

When is Penny's birthday?
21st October.

Is Penny a Leeds United fan?
Despite currently living in Leeds, Penny is not originally from the city (being more of a rural North Yorkshire person) and has no interest in the fortunes of its football team. She supports Arsenal, though does not follow their fortunes as keenly as once she did. Three of her live band are massive Leeds fans, though. The drummer likes Sheffield Wednesday. Yeah, I know.

Can I use music by Penny Broadhurst in my student film?
Yes, please email to let us know. If the film ends up at a major festival or is for commercial use, please ask for permission first as that's a bit more complicated.

When is Penny Broadhurst playing in Japan/the US/anywhere else?
When somebody books her to play under reasonable terms. Touring, sadly, costs money.
