Indietracks Blog

This is a long blog with lots of photos, but I had a great time at Indietracks so it needs to be documented! My feet were attacked by ants, but I met some amazing and wonderful people and heard some incredible music. I also danced like an idiot and went on train rides. Highlights include:

* Brontosaurus Chorus

* The DJ set of Helen Love's Bubblegum Killers. They also gave me a free mix CD that was AMAZING and are the loveliest people I have ever met.

We played supporting MJ Hibbett on the Friday night, for early birds champing at the bit for some Indietracks action before the rest of the festival kicked off. It was an acoustic set, so folk didn't get to see my new live band, The Maffickers (coming soon...we're not ready quite yet), but two of the band came along to play various instruments for me - Owen and Emil - and we played a short but sweet five song set to a very nice crowd indeed:

Mark and the Validators put in a storming version of his My Exciting Life In Rock show and if you're heading to Edinburgh, you should go and see it.
