Back from honeymoon, and a headlining gig
Hallo y'all,
I'm back from my Paris honeymoon (both wedding and holiday were glorious, thanks) and I'd like to let you know that I'm playing not one gig next week, but two, and a virtual third.
First we will deal with the virtual. All being well, I shall be magically sending a performance by video to the Residence Gallery's Last Chance Cafe afterparty show at Zigfrids in London on 11th Oct (I would be there in person, but I have no holiday left from work - alas!). Expect more new and wild material if I can record and send it on time. Click here for more info.
I'm first on at the free John Peel Day show on 13th Oct that Aesthetica magazine and I are putting on as part of the Ilkley Literature Festival Fringe. The show is called IDENTITYXPRESS (click for the website), it's FREE, it's at Ilkley Playhouse and I'm on for 20 minutes and there is a short play and music after me. Give us but an hour of your time and it will repay you in great riches of the heart. Or something. The show is all about identity, and you'll be able to buy my merch at the gig, including the current issue of Instant Classic on the same theme.
The very next day, the 14th, I skip over to South Yorkshire and to the Steel City. Yup, Sheffield sees my first headlining gig in a while, as part of the Off The Shelf festival. It's the Writing Squad show, so plenty of hot new blood making me feel quite ancient at not quite 25, and it's only two fiddy in. Bargainous. Mostly new material. More merch. Etc. Support your local poets.
Cheerio!
